Sdr. Muhammad Hasanul Arifin is a PhD candidate in Islamic Civilisation at the Raja Zarith Sofia Centre for Advanced Studies on Islam, Science, and Civilisation (RZS-CASIS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His scholarly interests centre on Islamic educational philosophy, with particular emphasis on the thought of the eminent Muslim intellectual Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas.

He has authored several academic works, including Al-Ghazali and Academic Excellence, which was developed from his Master’s thesis at the same institution. With over a decade of teaching experience, he has conducted classes and study circles on worldview, civilisation, education, and Islamic science across various institutions in the region.
