Puan Sharifah Hajar Syed Ahmad

Puan Sharifah Hajar Syed Ahmad completed her bachelor degree in Mathematics at the University of Bath, United Kingdom and continued with a one year diploma in education (KPLI) at the Teacher's Institute (Maktab Perguruan) in Penang. She successfully presented her Master in Philosophy at the Raja Zarith Sofiah Center for Advanced Studies in Islam, Science and Civilisation (RZS-CASIS),UTM on the title "Frithjof Schuon's Concept and Method of Interpreting of Nature" under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muhammad Zainiy Uthman, former Director of RZS-CASIS. She is currently continuing her PhD at the same center focusing on education, higher education management, systems philosophy, philosophy of science & technology, concepts of institutions, islamic thought and civilization.
She was the first secretary of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH) Postgraduate Student Society and at the same time, of the CASIS Student Society (CSS). She served as a Research Officer at RZS-CASIS officially and unofficially since 2012 until now helping with event coordination and academic communications between students, professors and admin staffs.
Currently heads Himpunan Keilmuan Muslim (HAKIM) as the Director from 2024 and Ta’dib International Institute (TII) as an Interim CEO from Nov 2025. As a side hobby, she coordinates Rihlah trips to various places with a group of people interested in education and travelling. She regularly participates in public outreach educational programs related to the field and industry, a long term coordinator of the International Worldview of Islam Series (WISE) Summer School held in Malaysia, Egypt and Sweden from 2014-2025.
