Nothing is permanent except change

I have always been rather perplexed and quite perturbed with the oft quoted cliche, 'nothing is permanent except change'. such notion gained currency probably from darwin's theory of evolution and thus the arguments for the survival of the fittest, where agility, adaptability and responsiveness to seemingly beguiling but confusing changes, enhance the probability of survival of various species including man. or the more recent, kuhn's paradigm shift where the increasingly better but incommensurable physics of aristotle, newton, einstein or the god's particle, propel new conception, presuppositions and axioms; gaining better acceptance and dominance and thus deemed more progressive over the previous ones. paradoxically rather, we believe in the primordial existence of the human soul that remains and lasts till eternity, the permanence of the Creator beyond time and space, the finality of the prophethood and the credal and immutable principles of the religion, among others. to make sense and order, the dynamics with the permanence, therefore, requires the proper sources and order of knowledge and right ways of knowing; thus the harmony and the proper places of reason and revelation.
